ABOUT THE AUTHOR: ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Donald W. Kruse lives in Mt. Prospect, Illinois with his wife of 37 years, Marilyn, and their two dogs, Itchy and Oscar. In 1981 and 1982, Donald was disabled with an illness called vasculitis. It affected his heart, lungs, kidneys, spleen and blood vessels. While convalescing at home for nearly two years, he was going bonkers with boredom. So he bought a how-to book on typing. Then he enrolled in a home-study course for writing children's stories. Today, his vasculitis is in remission, and his passion for writing thrives. He's the author of dozens of children's picture books and two exciting suspense novels for Young Adult Readers.
