Jay Troy Seate has assembled his second collection of stories that will appeal to genre readers who enjoy everything from dark fantasy to the supernatural to murder mysteries. Within these pages reside: unwholesome burial sites and destinations, an unusual mystery tour, a crazed stalker and a crazier doctor, a fire-spewing dragon, a blind world, and again, a plethora of femme fatales and dead bodies, all with fascinating tales to tell.

Seate’s fifteen tales cover the cunning and shocking aberrance of the human mind from many pointes of view. In the simplest terms, this anthology deals with the universal struggle between the good and evil within us all, so come along on this adventure.

 From the Book

Mr. Johnson was walking from his house toward his icebox … the whiteness of both his shirt and the oblong box took on an ethereal glow in the darkness. I turned down the radio’s volume and slunk back against the door, hoping to become invisible, lest the night-stalking Johnson spot me and turn his demon, x-ray gaze on an innocent, thirteen-year-old just starting to learn about life.

He stopped in front of the fridge and started to talk … the conversation between him and the appliance seemed to be friendly … and eerily personal. Then he leaned over and placed his hands on top of the door like he was standing over a … gulp … coffin. He mumbled something more as if he was reciting a prayer. The hot night didn’t stop the goose bumps from erupting on my arms. A feeling akin to that of an icy finger tickled my spine.
